REDfour Marsh kidnap and ransom package launched

REDfour and Marsh’s  “pick and mix” kidnap and ransom (K&R) package is aimed at ships transiting the Gulf of Aden.

Piracy has increased substantially over the past 24 months with specific regional pockets seeing a quite sizable rise in attacks.  This has resulted in a double blow to shipping companies with increased insurance premiums and heightened concerns about security of their vessels.

REDfour and Marsh’s introduction of their “pick and mix” kidnap and ransom (K&R) package gives a two-fold reward:  reduced insurance costs and greater security.

The package:

• Marsh offers up to 50% discounts for ships carrying REDfour teams.
• REDfour provides the most offensive defence installations custom-made for each vessel:
  • installation of razor wire,
  • electric fencing,
  • security team comprised of former UK military personnel.
• Client contract flexibility: single or multiple voyage basis.
